Dalida's career then took a turn for the worse when her new manager, who also owned her record label, cheated her out of her earnings and she was made to sign a contract that stipulated she could only record songs in French and her album had to be totally produced in France. The couple had their first son named Leïla in 1999 and their second son named Nikest '' in 2002. The entire family lives in a villa in the countryside of Fontainebleau, France.
Dalida's career as a singer was still in decline, and her Dali album barely sold. Though she was seen more frequently and was still a celebrity, her production, though a byproduct of her alcohol and drugs, was chaotic, and the videos rarely matched the quality of the songs.
